PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION GOES GREEN
and helps a Lower Dauphin H.S. student
become
an Eagle Scout.

Eagle Scout Patrick Vares (left) gives PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION an Award of Thanks for their financial contribution toward his Eagle Scout project. Accepting the Award is Jim Starr, Director of Marketing and Media for the Credit Union.
The Thank You Award reads as follows: Thank You for your generous support of the Wildwood Pollinator Garden Project. Your Contribution was significant to the success of the garden.
Thanks to the support of PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION, a new habitat area has been created at Wildwood Park in Harrisburg. In addition to providing food and shelter for Wildwood insects, butterfly's and animals, the garden will also be a model to encourage people to do native gardening of their own.
This Certificate and Thank You Award is offered with gratitude for your help in making my Eagle Scout project possible.

"Palmyra's 250th Anniversary"
While most of us are focused on the year 2009, there’s one town in the mid-state that has already begun preparations to celebrate the year 2010.
The town of Palmyra turns 250 years old in 2010 and the Palmyra 250th Anniversary Committee is planning fundraisers and activities that will run throughout the entire year of 2009 and 2010.
Fundraisers include the “Pennies in a Pot” Promotion where people in Palmyra and surrounding communities can throw their old pennies laying around into a black antique kettle pot in the lobby at PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION, 1220 East Main Street, Palmyra (717) 838-4591.
Jay Armold, President of the Palmyra 250th Anniversary Committee hopes to collect 250,000 “Pounds of Pennies” in the pot located at PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION.
Doctor John Palm was the founder of Palmyra in 1760. Palm was a volunteer doctor at the first Revolutionary War battle. The 250th Birthday of Palmyra will truly be a Historic Event in the mid-state, and PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION is proud to host the 250,000 Pounds of “Pennies in a Pot” Promotion at their Palmyra branch.

SCORE-O is Back!

PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION SCORE-O is a fan favorite at Hershey Bear hockey games. Two lucky fans are taken down to the ice and they get three chances to win some FREE money!
Each fan has two shots towards winning $100, then they each get to take one shot in hopes of winning $10,000!
PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION is the exclusive sponsor of SCORE-O, and we are proud to be a part of bringing this tradition back to Hershey Bear Hockey Games.
It used to be held between periods at the old HersheyPark Arena, but it was never held at GIANT Center ... until now! PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION and the Hershey Bears have selected these game dates to hold SCORE-O events this season: October 19, November 26, December 20, January 17, February 21, March 28, and April 12.
Come on down to GIANT Center and join the fun, you could walk away with some cold hard cash!

"ORANGE OUT" at Palmyra H.S.

Earlier this high school football season, Palmyra Area High School hosted PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION Night, and Palmyra's first ever "ORANGE OUT". It was a fun night for all as PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION passed out FREE Orange Cougar Pride T-shirts to the first 2,000 Cougar fans that walked through the gates. Orange was everywhere, and it helped late in the game as Palmyra won the match after several overtimes.
Each shirt also had the PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION logo and website printed on them. To this day, Palmyra Principal David Jones has all the staff wear the Cougar / PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION Orange T-shirt every Friday on game day to encourage school spirit.
The PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION Palmyra Branch was very proud to have the opportunity to support their local football team. Free PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION water bottles were also donated to the school under the supervision of Palmyra Area High School Athletic Director Brian Weidler.

Supports Local Police / Fire Event

Mr. Peanut Butter Cup paused for this photo opportunity to show off his PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION Hat.
The Biggest, most fun and most attended “Night Out Against Crime” in Central Pennsylvania, was at the Campbelltown Fire Department Grounds on Tuesday August 5th.
Over 5 area Police Departments, including the State Police, and 4 area Fire Departments organized the event to educate the public how to protect themselves from crime, fires, and create a greater bond between Firemen, the Police and the community at large.
There were lots of FREE giveaways and face painting provided by PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION, a community minded non-profit organization.
There were many community safety attractions as well, which included: FREE Digital Children’s Finger Printing, FREE Certified Car Seat Safety Checks, and a simulated walk through Smoke House to learn how to escape burning homes or buildings.
This huge outdoor event included 45 booths with interactive activities for kids and adults, FREE Balloons, Hershey Candy Bar Characters and Hilda the Cow. Also, a variety of Delicious Foods were available at no charge.
“It was a great night for Police Unity in the Community,” says Officer Theresa Mack of the South Londonderry Township Police Department. Police and Fire Departments, from Hershey, Palmyra, Annville, Cleona and Campbelltown joined together to host the event, which was called “Night Out Against Crime” and hundreds of adults and children from those communities attended. It was the first annual event in this region, and it was a tremendous success!
"PA CENTRAL CREDIT UNION will continue to support these organizations throughout Dauphin, Cumberland and Lebanon Counties,"
says President/CEO Greg Wagner.
