On March 9, 2024, The Caring Cupboard, a food pantry serving Palmyra and Annville-Cleona areas, hosted a sold-out Trivia Night at the Hershey Italian Lodge. Ed Coffey, Director of Marketing & Media at PA Central FCU and former Harrisburg morning radio personality, was the Master of Ceremonies. The event threw the spotlight on a growing need across Central PA to provide access to nutritious food for those who are struggling with hunger.

The Caring Cupboard feeds over 300 families each week and has seen a huge increase in the number of families who need support.

PA Central FCU also coordinates an annual event in Palmyra and Harrisburg called “Shredding Hunger”. It’s a Free Shred Day for their Members and the local community.
Shred fees are waived but attendees are asked to make a donation to The Caring Cupboard instead.

PA Central has donated over $4,000 to The Caring Cupboard and The Central PA Food Bank through its annual Shred Day events held at Harrisburg and Palmyra branches. This year’s “Shredding Hunger” events are scheduled for May 16th in Harrisburg and October 10th at the Palmyra branch.
