Are you doing Fall cleaning? Our Shredding Hunger Event is a great time to safely destroy old documents and bills that contain your personal information.
This year, PA Central FCU will host three Shred Day events:
UPCOMING! Fall Shred Day Events
🍂HARRISBURG EVENT: Shredding Hunger will be held on October 16, 2025, at our Main Office in Harrisburg (959 East Park Drive location) from 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM. In lieu of a shred fee, support our virtual food drive for the Central PA Food Bank which serves Central PA families in need.
🎃BURNHAM EVENT: Shredding Hunger will be held on October 29, 2025, at our Burnham Office (101 1st Avenue, Burnham, PA 17009) in the YMCA parking lot located next to the branch from 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM. In lieu of a shred fee, monetary donations will be collected to support Mother Hubbard Cupboard in Burnham, PA.

What should I bring to the Shred Day Event?
- Personal Documents
- Any documents with Personally Identifiable Information (PII)*
- Birth certificates, travel documents, expired passports, etc.
- Tax documents
- Banking statements
Please do NOT bring: hanging file folders, cardboard, ink cartridges, food, glass, cans, syringes, hard drives or electrical items.
*PII includes any documents listed above that may also include social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, alien registration numbers, financial or medical records, and biometrics.
Spring Shred Day Event: Our Spring Shred Day was held at our Palmyra Branch on May 16, 2025. In lieu of a shred fee, members and the community made donations to our virtual food drive for The Caring Cupboard Food Pantry in Palmyra.
PA Central donated $1,000 to The Caring Cupboard from this event and over 2,000 pounds of old documents were shred
